Job summary

Ridge and Partners LLP is launching its Autumn 2027 Evolve graduate programme in Newcastle for recent graduates in Building Surveying. Successful candidates will receive an offer before Christmas 2026 and commence in Autumn 2027, joining a two-year development track within a Built Environment consultancy.

The role focuses on hands-on learning across planned maintenance surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, and related building surveying duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying with 2:1 or higher, to start Autumn 2027.
• Available to start in Autumn 2027 and able to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Ridge's two-year Evolve graduate programme in Newcastle.
• Work on prestigious building surveying projects across sectors including residential, educational, industrial and commercial.
• Gain experience in core Building Surveying tasks: PPM surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, reinstatement cost assessments.

What's the role?

Our two-year Evolve graduate programme develops and supports the next generation of Built Environment professionals. As a Graduate Building Surveyor at Ridge you will benefit from on job learning experiences whilst working on prestigious projects and core building surveying instructions. Our projects are of varying sizes and cover a variety of sectors including large residential, educational, industrial and commercial schemes. The team cover a wide range of core Building Surveying instructions, namely planned preventative maintenance (PPM) surveys, pre-acquisition building surveys, schedules of condition, schedules of dilapidations and reinstatement cost assessments. You will also work with interesting clients including large retail companies, local authorities, Schools/Universities, contractors, developers etc.

What do I need to succeed?

• I have or am predicted a 2:1 bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or closely related subject obtained in 2026 or 2027 or I hold a bachelor's degree in another subject together with a relevant Master's degree
• I am available to start work full-time from Autumn 2027
• I have a permanent Right to Work in the UK and do not need visa sponsorship.
