Job description

VANRATH is pleased to be partnering again with a Major Distribution Service in recruiting a National Account Executive to join a growing and dynamic team based in Belfast. The company highly values staff development and progression.

Experience working with Drink Brands/Food Service Providers is highly desirable

Salary - £28,000 + Company Car & Fuel Card + 10% Bonus + Hybrid Working

Hours - Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00 - 3 days on the road / 2 days remote

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer portfolio, including existing and new business, to meet sales, shopper, and brand objectives within set parameters.
  • Implement national plans at the local level, ensuring distribution and activation align with brand goals and TGM targets.
  • Develop collaborative customer partnerships, translating sales and brand objectives into customer business plans, ranging, activation, and aligning with their business cycles. Work closely with Brand and NPD teams regarding customer points of sale and menu cycles.
  • Coordinate with commercial planning and activation teams to ensure all activities align with company and brand expectations, managed through CBP systems, spend, and TGM budgets. Feed forecasted volume and spend into CBP.
  • Provide necessary information for internal and external stakeholders, including managers, board, commercial, sales operations, finance, brand, and shopper teams, within deadlines.
  • Utilize insights to maximize distribution, availability, and visibility by setting targets, conducting gap analysis, and matching customer needs with brand features. Manage listings based on brand and channel objectives and NPD processes.
  • Monitor and report competitor activity to enhance understanding of the channel and competitors.
  • Maintain control over financial management, including limiting debtor days, resolving credit queries, and ensuring invoices are paid within 35 days.
