The role:
We are seeking to appoint a resident Boarding Assistant on a fixed term contract. You would be living in shared accommodation with up to three other graduates, within our stunning listed building, set against the stunning backdrop of Bath’s UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The post requires the successful candidate to assist with the day to day running of the boarding houses, help to organise, run and staff the Weekend Programme, to help with administrative tasks involved in boarding and to play a complementary and supporting role to students in class by encouraging pupils in their learning and the acquisition of skills. This is a residential post and can be a demanding role including morning, evening and weekend duties in boarding. You will be given 24 hours off duty per week, along with additional time off when not on duty in House.
The successful candidate will be a team player with a proven track record of being proactive, highly organised and able to act on their own initiative. They will have to demonstrate a fair but firm approach and must enjoy working with young people and have energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the nature of working in a boarding school.
This role would be ideal for a graduate wishing to gain experience in a boarding school environment.
