Graduate Bid Writer

Location: Nottingham

Salary: GBP24,739 per annum

About the Role

Are you passionate about writing? Eager to learn and develop? Interested in social housing and delivering excellent services? If so, you could be our next Trainee Bid Writer!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or someone starting their career in bid writing to join NCHA. We prepare bids, grant applications, and tenders for housing, care, and support services for vulnerable adults.

As part of the Business Development Team, you'll work on projects across the organization, liaising with internal and external partners. Your tasks may include writing method statements, modeling budgets, or supporting specifications for new housing developments. This role offers a broad and varied experience, ideal for your first step into the world of work.

Note: This is not a sales role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured 12-month graduate training program, combining on-the-job learning, professional development, and networking opportunities.
  • Write grant applications and bids, gaining knowledge of the housing and social care sectors.
  • Potentially apply for full-time roles within the organization post-training.

Candidate Requirements

  • Motivated, enthusiastic, with excellent attention to detail and curiosity to learn.
  • Interest and knowledge of social housing and support services for vulnerable adults.
  • Strong literacy, comprehension, IT, and numeracy skills.
  • Previous work or voluntary experience demonstrating common sense, interpersonal skills, and professional relationships.
  • Graduated within the last 5 years with at least a 2:1 in a relevant subject OR experience in health, care, or support services for vulnerable adults.

Working Hours & Additional Information

Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with at least 3 days in the office at Clifton. Travel across the East Midlands may be required; a driving license and vehicle are advantageous.
