Job summary

Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are seeking a motivated Graduate Audit Trainee with strong analytical and communication skills. You will support audit assignments across five councils, gaining hands-on experience in testing, fieldwork and reporting.

You will work with data analytics, digital tools and Power Platform, developing skills in SQL and Python/R while contributing to audit quality and efficiency. A 2:1 degree is required and 40 days leave with flexible working options are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree at upper second-class honours (2:1) or above.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present findings clearly.
• Experience with data analysis tools and a willingness to learn audit techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support audit engagements across council services and schools, performing testing and analysis under guidance.
• Assist in planning, fieldwork and reporting, liaising with clients and attending meetings.
• Plan and organise work to high professional standards within deadlines.
• Extract and analyse data from business systems to support audit testing and assurance.
