Role Overview

As a Graduate Transport Planner, you'll support the delivery of high-quality transport planning outputs, contributing to projects across sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing transport assessments, travel plans, and statements to support development applications.
  • Undertake data collection, surveys, and initial traffic modelling work.
  • Support junction capacity analysis, site access design, and sustainable travel initiatives.
  • Produce clear, professional technical reports and contribute to project documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders under the guidance of senior staff.
Who We're Looking For / Qualifications
  • Recent graduate in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic background with a clear interest in transport planning.
  • Familiarity with transport planning tools/software (e.g., TRICS, TEMPRO, VISSIM, or similar) is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Motivation to pursue professional development and professional accreditation (e.g., CIHT, ICE).
