Job Title: Graduate Assistant – Institute for Women’s Leadership

Location: Nichols College, Dudley, MA

Duration: Academic Year Internship (August 2025 – May 2027)

Position Overview

The Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL) at Nichols College is excited to invite applications for the position of Graduate Assistant for the upcoming academic year. This role presents an extraordinary opportunity to actively contribute to the IWL’s mission of empowering women through comprehensive leadership development, education, and advocacy. As a Graduate Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the IWL Director and the dynamic IWL Student Leaders to design, coordinate, and implement a variety of impactful programs and initiatives aimed at fostering women's leadership skills.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in the thoughtful development and execution of engaging leadership programs, workshops, and events that inspire and educate participants.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of event logistics, from scheduling and venue arrangements to ensuring smooth communication with participants.
  • Actively engage with and support the Student Leadership Team, fostering collaboration and enthusiasm among team members.
  • Conduct in-depth research on contemporary women’s leadership topics and prepare insightful reports or presentations that inform program strategies.
  • Enhance the visibility of IWL’s initiatives through creative marketing and outreach efforts, including managing social media platforms and crafting compelling content.
  • Provide essential administrative support by meticulously maintaining records, preparing program materials, drafting communications, and reaching out to potential speakers and guests.
  • Collaborate with campus partners and external organizations to amplify the reach and impact of IWL initiatives, creating a network of support.
  • Attend and actively participate in IWL meetings and events, contributing ideas and insights to enrich the overall mission of the Institute.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in a graduate program at Nichols College.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in written and verbal communication, able to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and various social media platforms, utilizing technology to enhance outreach and engagement.
