We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice who are looking to recruit a recent graduate who is looking for a career within Financial Planning and become a Financial Planner.

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join a greatIFA team as part of a four-year training programme designed for you to progress through to aFinancial Planning Assistant and then qualify as a Financial Planner.

The Role

This is a four-year training programme designed for the successful candidate to progress to anAssistant Financial Planner and then a Financial Planner. The position is full time and will initiallybe based in their Colchester Office although it may be necessary to work at the other two officesin Chelmsford and Basildon; therefore, flexibility is essential and the ability to drive would beadvantageous. There will be the opportunity for some working from home, if desired, in line withthe Firm’s working from home guidelines.

The training will be undertaken within the team for the role, you will be working with other teammembers and supporting the Financial Planners and Financial Planning Managers. Full training andpractical support will be provided with the exceptional backing of one of the leading Law andFinancial Services firms in Essex.

The Candidate

You will be a recent graduate, preferably within finance, business, or economics, but this is notessential. You will have a genuine interest in financial planning or have experience within theFinancial Services Sector, possess strong attention to detail, and will be seeking to develop yourcareer in financial planning. Previous experience in a Financial Services role would beadvantageous but is not essential.

You will show a genuine passion for delivering excellent client service and display a willingness tolearn and be flexible and dedicated. Additional study will be required outside of working hours andtherefore you must display a can-do attitude, be able to manage your workload and prioritiseeffectively. You will be supported and encouraged to achieve your goals within the FinancialServices Industry.

The ideal candidate will: -

  • Be able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to display empathy.
  • Have a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Be flexible and reliable with excellent organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.

The position is full time and will initially be based in the Colchester Office although it may be necessary to work at our other two offices in in Chelmsford and Basildon; therefore, flexibility is essential.
