Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to kick start your career in engineering as a Graduate Assistant Engineer. We are seeking passionate, hard-working engineers who are keen to join our dynamic team.

Inglewood Engineering is a leading company, providing specialist electrical engineering compliance services to sites across the UK.

As the Graduate Assistant Engineer, you will travel across the UK with different members of the team to complete a range of inspections, including DSEAR Compliance Services. These projects can range from a 1 day inspection to a several week multi-team inspection. Whilst at the office, you will complete data entry for hazardous area and electrical fixed wiring results, write reports on findings, as well as complete any CAD drawings to be reviewed and issued to the client.

Key responsibilities of the Graduate Assistant Engineer:

  • Assistance with Detailed, Close and Visual Hazardous Area Inspections to DSEAR
  • Assistance with Electrical Site Surveys to BS7671
  • Data Entry for compliance projects
  • Documentation for compliance projects
  • 2D Computer Aided Design Drawing Modifications occasional
  • Assist Electrical Consultancy through meetings and telephone calls
  • Carry out work at client s sites across the UK and occasional work abroad

Skills and experience required by the Graduate Assistant Engineer:

  • A Bachelor s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other field of Engineering.
  • Some industrial experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications
  • Familiarity with CAD software as AutoCAD is used for the CAD drawings
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively collaborate with others.
