- Assist faculty in outreach efforts and special projects: prepare STEM activities, prepare presentations, contact high school counselors and teachers.
- Assist with event planning: send and receive emails; maintain records of events; create presentations and documentation; attend and facilitate meetings.
- May also perform teaching duties: grading student work, proctoring course activities, leading laboratory sessions or recitation sessions, and providing office hour assistance to students.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
Graduate Assistantships are available to master's and doctoral students who are assigned to a specific faculty member who is conducting research or scholarship or other academic activity. Duties will vary depending on the project.

- Detail oriented, responsible, enthusiastic, adheres to deadlines, and takes initiative.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, others).
- Able to work well with diverse groups of people (students/staff/faculty).
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Experience working with confidential information and an understanding of FERPA.
