Graduate / Assistant Building Surveyor - Heritage Specialist
Location: Flexible / Hybrid | Full-time
Start your surveying career with a focus on what matters most: our historic buildings.
We’re looking for a Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyor to join our specialist team working exclusively within the historic environment. From medieval churches and Georgian townhouses to Arts & Crafts villas and scheduled monuments, you’ll help care for some of the UK’s most remarkable buildings.
This is a rare opportunity to focus your career on conservation and heritage from the outset. You’ll be involved in condition surveys, specifying fabric repairs, statutory consents, and contract administration - always with the support of an experienced team.
What We're Looking For:
– A degree in Building Surveying or similar (RICS/CIOB accredited)
– A clear interest in historic buildings and traditional construction
– Strong writing and observational skills
– A proactive, inquisitive mindset
– Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
What We Offer:
– A salary of £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
– Full APC support and heritage-specific training
– Flexible and hybrid working options
– A collaborative, knowledgeable team with a passion for conservation
– Exposure to meaningful, varied projects across the country
If you want to work where your love of old buildings is an asset, not a side interest, we’d love to hear from you.
