Job Description: Graduate Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, London

This role is based near Coulsdon and is suitable for graduates and trainees interested in supporting children with learning difficulties, including autism, and speech, language, and communication needs.

The position involves working with children aged 11-19 with mild to severe learning difficulties, providing support to help them succeed and develop essential skills. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain relevant experience, network with professionals, and expand your knowledge in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Career progression options include roles in Speech and Language Therapy, Special Needs Teaching, Occupational Therapy, and Child or Educational Psychology.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist class teachers in delivering learning experiences
  • Provide behaviour and pastoral support
  • Build effective relationships with students
  • Meet individual needs with a practical approach
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups
  • Ensure student safeguarding
  • Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
Additional Details:
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Training, support, and CPD provided
  • Working hours: Mon-Fri, 9:00am-4:00pm, term time only
  • Pay: £80-£100 per day
  • Must have the right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship
  • Must be able to travel to Coulsdon and surrounding areas

Candidates will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check.
