This simplifies and automates complex configuration processes and enables rapid and secure website creation, versioning and editing using an intuitive interface.

We launched our apprenticeship scheme in 2015, with several former apprentices now in leading roles in the Company. We are extremely proud of our apprentices and the value they bring from day one. We are excited to launch our 2025 campaign to find two apprentices, one Apprentice Web Developer and one Apprentice Cyber Engineer.This is a fixed term contract for two years with the potential to move to a permanent position on course completion.

Cyber Security is a rapidly changing field and by undertaking the FAS you will gain the ability to apply professional standards to the analysis, design, testing, evaluation and modification of reliable and maintainable software.

The Apprentice Cyber Engineer will undertake the award winning Forrit Apprenticeship Scheme (FAS). In conjunction with formal qualifications and training, the FAS guides the apprentice through varying projects within the company.

What will I learn as part of the Security Teams?

• Designing or maintaining automated security frameworks

• Identifying and suggesting improvements to test/security processes

• Assisting with configuration management of third-party software and applications.

• Contributing to the management of corporate data

• Supporting users’ IT applications and software

• Developing expertise with the creation and maintenance of reports

• Producing technical and user support documentation

• Proactively seeking out learning opportunities

• Effectively managing competing demands of work commitments and studying for qualifications and training

• Salary of £16,500 per annum. After successful completion of 3 months’ probation and objectives eligible for salary review to £20,000 – £22,050 per annum.

What qualifications or skills are required?

HND at Grade B in a related discipline, Grade A is preferred.

Relevant work experience is essential. Apprentices must have sufficient recognition of prior learning (RPL) PLUS 240 SCQF credits, of which a minimum of 120 credits are at SCQF 8.
