The ideal candidate will have experience in probe microscopy and a passion for problem-solving. This role offers a competitive salary, flexible working, and a strong benefits package including 25 days of annual leave and a generous EMI Share scheme.
Infinitesima was spun out of the University of Bristol in 2001 and develops innovative metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The Rapid Probe Microscope (RPM) combines 3D surface detection (AFM) with high-speed laser activation and interferometry, and is protected by an extensive patent portfolio. The RPM technology is used by leading semiconductor equipment companies globally. Based in Abingdon, UK, we are a high calibre team of 90 people and continue to grow.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Application Engineer to join our applications team. This role requires a dynamic individual who is excellent at problem-solving and able to work autonomously, with a significant portion of time spent supporting customers globally. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on innovative technology at the leading edge of semiconductor applications.
The Applications Engineer is a key player and technical contributor within the Applications team. The primary focus is to support business development, both at Infinitesima and at customer sites. Responsibilities include supporting customer applications, solving problems, and developing methods to demonstrate the capability of the RPM at its best. The role involves liaising with customers to understand their needs and ensuring these are accurately communicated back to head office, and working closely with industry experts to understand current and future requirements.
Experience with probe microscopy is essential, preferably in an environment where problem-solving can be demonstrated. Experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
