Job description

Our client, an established financial services organisation near Altrincham, is looking for a graduate to join their analytics team.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  1. Support business decisions by delivering budgets and forecasts, tracking actual spend, and conducting variance analysis against forecasts.
  2. Build and maintain key relationships with external stakeholders and provide accurate, relevant reporting and financial modelling support.
  3. Assist with the Business Operations month-end process, including managing account adjustments (accruals and prepayments), key variance analysis, headcount reporting, and the production of detailed variance commentary and management packs.
  4. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and monitoring, including accruals and prepayments analysis.
  5. Monitor the financial performance of programs and provide early feedback to stakeholders to highlight risks and opportunities.

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in maths, accounting, economics, or a related analysis-focused subject (2:1 or above), with at least 2 A-levels grade C or above.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Some key achievements outside of academia, such as in sports, music, or the Duke of Edinburgh award.
