Overview

Graduate Analogue IC Design Engineer - Custom ASIC & Mixed-Signal Focus

Salary: Competitive + Benefits + Training & Development

Are you a driven final-year Electronics Engineering student with a passion for analogue and mixed-signal circuit design? Join a specialist team working at the cutting edge of custom ASIC development for high-performance, high-reliability systems.

We are looking for a Graduate Analogue IC Design Engineer to become part of our experienced engineering group. You'll play an essential role in the design and development of bespoke analogue and mixed-signal ICs used in safety-critical and mission-specific applications.

Responsibilities
  • Design of analogue and mixed-signal circuit blocks (e.g., amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, bias circuits, PLLs)
  • Perform transistor-level simulations (DC, AC, transient, noise, Monte Carlo, etc.) using industry-standard tools
  • Support layout engineers and verify physical design (LVS, DRC, parasitic extraction)
  • Collaborate closely with digital designers for mixed-signal integration
  • Participate in silicon evaluation, lab testbench setup, and chip bring-up
  • Document designs in line with ISO-certified development processes
What We're Looking For
  • B.Eng/MEng in Electronics Engineering (or related)
  • Strong academic performance with modules in Analogue Electronics, Semiconductor Devices, and Signal Processing
  • Understanding of CMOS circuit fundamentals and device-level behaviour
  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and simulation tools such as Spectre, HSPICE, or Eldo
  • Exposure to layout considerations including matching, parasitics, and floorplanning
  • Familiarity with lab instrumentation (e.g., oscilloscopes, network analysers, SMUs)
Nice to Have
  • Internship or placement in analogue/mixed-signal IC design
  • Project experience with ADC/DAC architectures or analogue front-ends
  • Interest in low-power design, high-precision sensing, or RF/PMIC design
  • Experience with layout tools or chip-level validation
What You'll Get
  • Hands-on involvement in real-world IC projects from the start
  • Personalised mentorship from senior engineers and structured graduate training
  • Opportunity to work on state-of-the-art ASICs with real-world impact
  • A collaborative, supportive environment where ideas are encouraged and innovation thrives
