Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and curious Graduate Enablement & Support Engineer to join our growing AI Services team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic, early-career opportunity, ideal for recent graduates passionate about artificial intelligence and eager to apply their technical skills in a real-world setting.

You will work in a hybrid role across customer enablement, technical onboarding, and third-line product support. Your responsibilities include working directly with internal stakeholders, clients, and engineers to ensure our AI solutions are well-supported, effectively integrated, and delivering value to Sage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in getting started with our AI platforms and tools
  • Help tailor onboarding materials, documentation, and demos to specific client needs
  • Deliver hands-on technical guidance during AI service rollouts or proof-of-concepts
  • Support clients in deploying, configuring, and integrating AI features and models
  • Help identify improvements to onboarding and support workflows
  • Work closely with product and data science teams to understand AI capabilities and translate them into customer-facing solutions
  • Provide third-line technical support for AI-powered services
  • Log, investigate, and resolve technical issues in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Monitor service performance and proactively reduce issues
  • Assist with issue triage and escalation processes

To succeed, you'll ideally be a graduate in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or similar fields.

Additionally, you should have:

  • An understanding of core AI/ML concepts such as NLP, model training, or computer vision
  • Coding skills, preferably in Python, and familiarity with development tools and environments
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured troubleshooting approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and a customer-focused mindset

This role is based in our Newcastle office with a hybrid working arrangement (three days in-office).
