Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join our Essex-based Acoustics team. You will conduct noise surveys, modelling, and prepare technical reports to help clients meet Building Regulations and standards.

The role offers training, access to cutting-edge tools, flexible working, and a clear path to professional accreditation with IOA eligibility. You will work with senior consultants on diverse projects and develop specialist advisory skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, or related field.
• IOA membership or eligibility is desirable.
• Experience with noise modelling software and acoustic measurement tools is desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct noise surveys and on-site monitoring for various projects.
• Perform predictive noise and vibration modelling.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Assist in the development of noise, vibration, and dust management plans.
• Collaborate with design teams to provide specialist advice on building acoustics.
• Support environmental noise impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Liaise and negotiate with regulatory authorities as required.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and other relevant standards.
