About the Role:
As a Graduate Academic Mentor, you’ll provide tailored academic support to students who need a bit of extra guidance — whether they’re catching up, building confidence, or aiming for top grades.
Your role will include:
• Leading 1:1 and small-group academic support sessions in your subject area (English, Maths, or Science)
• Supporting students preparing for GCSE and end-of-year exams
• Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and personalised learning strategies
• Helping identify learning gaps and working closely with SEN and pastoral teams
• Acting as a positive role model and motivator, encouraging students to aim higher
This is a full-school immersion role — the kind that builds your classroom toolkit quickly and meaningfully.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for a graduate who is:
• Degree-qualified in English, Maths, Science or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
• Passionate about education and helping young people succeed
• Clear, confident, and calm when communicating
• Reflective and reliable, with a desire to learn and grow professionally
• Previous experience mentoring or tutoring is useful — but not essential
What’s in It for You:
• £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, term-time only
• Fixed-term contract from September 2025 – July 2026, via KPI Education
