Job description

Graduate Academic Coach

Are you a graduate with strong academic skills and a passion for helping pupils succeed in their SATs?

*** Graduate Academic Coach
*** September 2025 to July 2026
*** £85–£100 per day
*** 1-Form Entry Primary School, Wolverhampton
*** Focus on SATs preparation for May 2026

The Role
As a Graduate Academic Coach, your role will focus on raising attainment in Year 6 ahead of the SATs in May 2026. You'll work closely with pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis, targeting reading, writing, and maths. You’ll help plug gaps in understanding, boost confidence, and reinforce key concepts using clear, structured support. Working alongside the Year 6 teacher and SLT, you’ll support tailored interventions, track pupil progress, and provide crucial academic encouragement in the run-up to exams.

The Candidate
You're a graduate with strong English and maths skills, ideally holding a degree with academic rigour. You may be considering a career in primary teaching or education and want practical classroom experience. You’re organised, proactive, and able to explain tricky concepts in a clear, supportive way. Prior experience working with children—whether tutoring, mentoring or classroom-based—is a strong advantage.

The School
This small, 1-form entry primary school in Wolverhampton offers a close-knit and focused learning environment. With a committed leadership team and a clear focus on academic progress, it’s a great place to build your skills as a future educator. Staff are supportive, pupils are eager to learn, and you'll be part of a structured SATs support plan with plenty of guidance and resources.

If you're ready to make a measurable impact in Year 6 and gain solid experience in primary education, apply now.
