Job summary

Step Into Teaching is offering a year-long, full-time placement at Exeter Secondary School to support teachers and pupils in daily classroom life. The role provides paid, hands-on experience as a Graduate Academic Coach, with responsibilities in lesson support, classroom organisation, and coverage where needed.

You will work closely with experienced staff, gain practical classroom skills, and build confidence on the path toward teacher training. The program runs during term-time, starting ASAP.

Graduate Academic Coach

Location: Exeter Secondary School

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (term time)

Pay: £520 – £530 per week - Starting in ASAP

About the Role

This role is supporting as a general TA and supporting with cover when needed in the school.

Our Step Into Teaching program offers a year-long, full-time placement in a local school, giving you the opportunity to gain vital experience before starting teacher training.

As part of this program, you’ll work closely with teachers and pupils every day, developing practical skills and confidence in the classroom while making a real difference to young people’s lives.
