Job description

Are you seeking an apprenticeship that will help you gain Chartered Accountant status in three years? Hazlewoods’ ACA Apprenticeship is a professional Level 7 qualification, equivalent to a Master’s.

Our apprenticeships are open to students from any degree discipline. What’s more important is that you have a passion for finance/accountancy, an enquiring mind with all-round great communication and teamworking skills. You will learn from experienced managers and colleagues who are on hand to support and guide you throughout your apprenticeship journey.

Whichever business area you are selected for, you’ll be rewarded with real life experience working with interesting and varied clients. Hazlewoods is proud to have developed sector-specialist teams in varied industries from vets and pharmacies to farmers and dentists!

Being an accountant isn’t about simple ‘number-crunching’, we are looking for people who can think creatively, are great communicators and who enjoy developing strong relationships with their team as well as our clients.

In return, we will offer you a rewarding and supportive environment in which to work and study. Having a designated manager and buddy, you will always have someone to talk to. To unwind, we offer an exciting programme of social events including an all-staff Christmas party alongside numerous charity events. Your mental health and wellbeing are also a priority - we have Mental Health First Aiders and events throughout the year supporting staff wellness such as free massage sessions.

We offer graduate opportunities in all areas of the business and work to help match you to the right team.

  • Audit – providing insightful, tailored advice to help maximise the potential of every business we work with.
  • Tax – forward-thinking, creative and strategic planning advice, tailored to fit our clients’ personal and business objectives.
  • Accounts – specialist accounting and business advice for our diverse clients.
  • Corporate Finance – supporting clients through mergers, sales & acquisitions, raising finance and transaction services.
