Job summary

Brookhaven Academy in Bury, Lancashire, is seeking a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant to join our SEND-focused team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support learning and classroom management, enabling pupils to access curriculum with care and professionalism.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ2 or equivalent, has experience with SEND, and demonstrates strong teamwork, numeracy and literacy skills, plus a firm commitment to safeguarding and pupil

Qualifications

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent in teaching assistance.
  • Some experience of working with children with SEND.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes.
  • Good level of interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Understanding safeguarding procedures and promote welfare.
