Job description

My client, an innovative, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their growing team of specialist consultants, based near to the lively, industrial city of Newport, South Wales.

Essential Criteria:

* A Degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or similar

* Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and flood mitigation reports

* Working knowledge of conducting flood modelling surveys

* An understanding of how to interpret flood risk data, using GIS software packages

* Experience of presenting flood risk information to clients and other stakeholders

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Flood Risk Consultant to possess the following:

* Strong analytical skills and technical-mindedness

* Excellent standard of written English, particularly when applied to report writing

* Experience of establishing and building stakeholder relations

* Carrying out flood risk surveys to inform assessment, planning, and mitigation

* Working on a range of sites, nation-wide
