This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of graphics technology across mobile, desktop, and workstation platforms.
About the Role
We are seeking an innovative GPU Systems Architect to lead the comprehensive design of a next-generation graphics architecture. This strategic position combines deep hardware expertise with system-level insight to deliver a unified GPU platform optimised for rendering performance, visual fidelity, and computational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
-Over 10 years’ experience in GPU or graphics system architecture.
-In-depth understanding of modern graphics rendering pipelines and associated computational requirements.
-Strong knowledge of rasterisation, ray tracing, and hybrid rendering approaches.
-Experience in designing memory systems for high-bandwidth, low-latency graphics applications.
-Demonstrated leadership in the architecture of complex silicon products.
-Proven ability to balance performance, image quality, power consumption, area, and cost.
-Strong analytical skills, with experience in graphics performance modelling and workload characterisation.
-Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
-Architect the GPU system design, covering programmable shader cores, fixed-function hardware, memory hierarchies, and interconnect topologies.
-Define system-level specifications that balance real-time rendering performance, image quality, power efficiency, and thermal considerations.
-Design unified memory models and data flow architectures optimised for modern graphics APIs and rendering techniques.
-Develop architectural frameworks for hardware-accelerated ray tracing, mesh shading, and advanced rasterisation.
-Create innovative approaches to geometry processing, texture sampling, and pixel processing pipelines.
-Establish performance models and simulation methodologies focused on graphics workloads and industry benchmarks.
-Collaborate with hardware design teams, graphics driver engineers, and game engine partners.
-Contribute to the technical roadmap in line with evolving rendering techniques and content creation workflows.
-Design scalable architectural solutions suitable for a range of platforms, including mobile, desktop, and workstation markets.
-Identify and resolve system-level bottlenecks within the graphics pipeline through innovative architectural thinking.
