Job summary

Victoria Park Pharmacy in Dorchester is seeking a GPhC registered ACT to work under the supervision of the pharmacist. You will prepare medicines and healthcare products, with the ACT qualification being essential.

You will support staff training, handle dispensing, provide patient counselling, and assist with OTC sales and stock control. The role involves following SOPs and regulatory requirements, as well as managing prescription admin tasks and Pharmacy First services.

Qualifications

• GPhC registered ACT is essential.
• Experience with dispensing and accuracy checking, including controlled drugs.
• Ability to counsel patients on minor ailments.
• Experience supporting OTC sales and advice.

Responsibilities

• Dispensing and accuracy checking of prescription medicines, including controlled drugs.
• Patient counselling and provision of information and advice on minor ailments.
• Support with OTC sales and guidance to counter staff.
• Stock control of dispensary medicines.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements and support staff adherence to them.
• Prescription administrative tasks, including end-of-month submissions.
• Support provision of Pharmacy First services.
• Answer emails and telephone queries throughout the day.
