Job summary

Stoneham Lane Surgery in Southampton is seeking a Salaried GP with a view to partnership to support the four GP partners and manage a busy clinical caseload. The appointee will lead on key disease areas, training, and service development while contributing to audits and patient care planning.

The role involves six sessions per week with specific working days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) and a one-year fixed-term contract, with progression to partnership subject to reviews at 6 and 12 months

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with current GMC registration.
• MRCGP or equivalent credential.
• CCT or equivalent training completion.
• Eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
• Performers List registration or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide GP consultations, including telephone and home visits.
• Develop care plans in line with disease management protocols.
• Prescribe and manage repeat prescriptions.
• Contribute to audit, Read-Coding, and electronic patient records.
• Participate in service development and health promotion initiatives.
• Attend training and events organised by the Practice.
