Pimlico Health at the Marven is seeking a part-time administrative team member to manage appointments and provide exemplary patient service. The role includes communication with patients, administrative duties, and interacting with clinicians to optimize patient care. Ideal candidates possess excellent communication skills and are flexible to support a busy practice environment.
Pimlico Health at the Marven is a well-established innovativegeneral practice based in Pimlico. We provide an array of NHS services to ourpractice population of 14,500 from very modern premises. We are seeking ahighly motivated individual to join our administration/call handling team.Someone with excellent communication skills aligned to a professional attitudewith an outgoing, friendly personality.
This will be a part time role, with various shift timesincluding 12-6:30pm.
Book appointments for patients via the telephone once youhave established their clinical need and actively signposted them to the mostappropriate clinician.
Deal with patients on a face to facebasis when they arrive at the practice and be polite and courteous at alltimes.
Answer telephone calls and book patients in for same dayappointments.
Book appointments for patients who present at the receptiondesk as required.
Deal with patient telephone enquiries as and when theyarise.
Welcome and appropriately advise patients of the serviceswithin the practice.
Undertake administration duties as and when instructed.
Contact patients when required to book appointmentsrelating to recall schedules.
Be flexible and work with the team to cover holidays andsickness as required
Keep up to date with allocated tasks via system one.
Ensure emails are read and acted upon.
Liaise with clinicians and other staff as necessary
Play an integral role in educating patients about changeshappening in primary care, and how this may affect their care, offeringsuitable alternatives where appropriate by way of care navigation.
Create a positive image of the practice.
Be an active and supportive member of the reception teamand the whole practice team
Undertake mandatory training as per the practice trainingplan.
Other duties as directed by the partners, the businessmanager or operations manager
