Medical Receptionist
37.5 hours per week- flexibility needed
We are a friendly three-partner GP Practice in the Stalybridge, Tameside area, and we are looking to recruit a medical receptionist to join our busy team. As the front of the house for the Practice, you should enjoy working with the general public and dealing with their enquiries; excellent customer service skills are therefore essential.

Job responsibilities also include assisting with queries, scanning documentation onto clinical records using Docman 10, ensuring correct coded information and good record keeping guidelines are followed to a high standard, liaising with doctors and community teams, attending monthly practice meetings, accepting and returning of medical records in line with policy, checking surgery emails and responding and any other task assigned to you by the GP partner which fits with your skills and attributes.
Experience
The right candidate should be able to evidence their customer care experience as this is essential as well as being computer literate and be able to multi task in a busy environment.
Flexibility
The job also does rely on a certain amount of flexibility to cover holidays and sickness- flexible over 5 days Mondays to Fridays
Start Date: ASAP
As front of house for the Practice you should enjoy working with the general public and dealing with their enquiries, excellent customer service skills are therefore essential. A main part of the job will be booking patients in, ordering prescription requests on the computer, actioning tasks from the doctors, answering the telephone and dealing with patient enquiries. Job responsibilities also include assisting with queries, scanning documentation onto clinical records using Docman 10, ensuring correct coded information and good record keeping guidelines are followed to a high standard, liaising with doctors and community teams, attending monthly practice meetings, accepting and returning of medical records in line with policy, checking surgery emails and responding and any other task assigned to you by the GP partner which fits with your skills and attributes.
