Job description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic GP Partner to join our team, due to one of our current partners emigrating at the end of the year. Full time or job share applications are welcome. Salaried GP (with a view to partnership) also considered.

We are a high achieving practice with excellent patient survey results. With a practice population of approximately 6850 we pride ourselves on continuity of care, continuous improvement and exceptional teamwork.

Kippax is located on the outskirts of Leeds and we work from a newly refurbished purpose built premises owned by the partners. Free parking is available on site.

Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of care whilst complying with the contract.

Your agreed timetable will require you to undertake a variety of duties in a timely manner. These will include surgery, telephone and online consultations, answering queries, undertaking home visits, checking and signing prescriptions, reviewing clinical correspondence and pathology results, and completing private work such as insurance reports.

Opportunities are also available to undertake minor surgery and coil and implant fitting for those suitably qualified.

As a GP Partner, you will be responsible for operational and strategic decision-making and management.

About us

We are a small friendly practice consisting of 4 GP Partners, supported by a nursing team comprising of a Lead Practice Nurse, Practice Nurse, Senior Healthcare Assistant, 2 Healthcare Assistants, and a GP Assistant.

We are part of the very successful and well managed LS25/26 Primary Care Network which provides us with a range of additional clinical support staff.

We host 1st and 2nd year medical students and receive excellent feedback every year from the students.

Job responsibilities

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

In addition, as a GP Partner, you will be responsible for operational and strategic decision-making and management.
