Job summary

Locums First is looking for a GMC-registered General Practitioner to provide flexible locum sessions in Fordingbridge and surrounding communities. The role offers autonomy to select sessions that suit your experience, pace and weekly schedule.

You will cover a range of primary care services, manage urgent access and routine clinics, and collaborate with local clinical teams in a well-organised setting. Indemnity and DBS compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner required.
• NHS Performers List registration essential.
• Experience in primary care or community health settings.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and patient communication.
• Ability to work confidently in varied services.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

You will support a range of primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, handling urgent care demand, providing routine appointments and completing essential clinical follow-up work. Each service provides clear guidance, structured processes and a well-managed clinical environment.
