Job summary

Locums First is recruiting Locum General Practitioners to work across community and primary care settings in Kidgate. You will provide autonomous GP clinics, handle urgent care demand, and deliver routine appointments with clear guidance and a structured clinical environment.

Flexible sessions across weekdays, evenings or weekends are available, with regular or ad-hoc bookings and options for short-term or longer arrangements. Locums First supports diverse primary care teams nationwide.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner required.
• NHS Performers List registration required.
• Experience in primary care or community health settings preferred.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and clear patient communication essential.
• Ability to work confidently in varied services and settings.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting telephone triage to support urgent access demand

Locums First is looking for Locum General Practitioners in Kidgate. This role offers access to a variety of community-focused and GP-based clinical sessions, giving you the flexibility to choose work that aligns with your experience, preferred pace and weekly schedule.

You will support a range of primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, handling urgent care demand, providing routine appointments and completing essential clinical follow-up work. Each service provides clear guidance, structured processes and a well-managed clinical environment.
