Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner.
• NHS Performers List registration.
• Experience in primary care or community health.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and patient communication.
• Ability to work confidently in varied services.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

• Conduct telephone triage to support urgent access demand.
• Prescribe safely within clinical guidelines.

Locums First is looking for Locum General Practitioners in Cockermouth. This role offers access to a variety of community-focused and GP-based clinical sessions, giving you the flexibility to choose work that aligns with your experience, preferred pace and weekly schedule.

You will support a range of primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, handling urgent care demand, providing routine appointments and completing essential clinical follow-up work. Each service provides clear guidance, structured processes and a well-managed clinical environment.
