Job summary

Locums First is seeking Locum General Practitioners in Ashtead to provide flexible GP sessions across community and primary care clinics. You will manage urgent care demand, routine appointments and essential follow-up work within a structured clinical setting.

Applicants must be GMC-registered with NHS Performers List, and have primary care or community health experience. Indemnity and Enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered General Practitioner with current license.
• Registered on NHS Performers List.
• Experience in primary care or community health.
• Strong diagnostic reasoning and patient communication.
• Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run independent GP clinics across community and primary care settings.
• Manage acute, routine and complex presentations.
• Perform telephone triage to support urgent access demand.
• Prescribe safely within clinical guidelines.
• Complete results, medication reviews and referral actions.
• Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with local clinical teams.

You will support a range of primary care services by managing autonomous GP clinics, handling urgent care demand, providing routine appointments and completing essential clinical follow-up work. Each service provides clear guidance, structured processes and a well-managed clinical environment.
