Job summary

The Crescent Medical Practice in Glasgow is inviting expressions of interest from GPs to cover a maternity leave. We are a two-site, friendly, supportive practice with 6,400 patients, accredited training practice, and a collaborative team including Pharmacist and allied health professionals.

We use Emis and Docman, hold regular multidisciplinary meetings, and provide telephone, same day and pre-bookable appointments. Local phlebotomy hubs and GP Walk-In Clinic access are available.

Job description

The Crescent Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity as one of our salaried GPs goes on maternity leave. If you are looking to join a friendly, supportive and well established team, then we would love to hear from you. We are a 2 partner GP practice located in the South of Glasgow and we welcome expressions of interest from experienced to newly qualified GPs. As an accredited training practice, we value GP training and are currently supporting 4 trainees at various stages of their learning pathway.

We provide NHS primary care services to approx. 6400 patients, participating in a number of enhanced services including extended hours and care homes. We employ our own Pharmacist and experienced admin team, as well as having regular input from Advanced Physio and PCIP Pharmacy and hub. We are located across 2 sites, Cessnock and Cardonald which gives access to great public transport and M8/M74/M77.

We use Emis and Docman, and have recently changed our model of care to enhance patient access and offer improved continuity of care. We hold a weekly multi-disciplinary team meeting to discuss clinical and non clinical issues, which includes a monthly programme of educational events.

Our sessions are well structed providing a variety of telephone, same day and pre-bookable appointments, in line with BMA safe working guidance. Our patients also have access to local phlebotomy hubs, treatment rooms and GP Walk-In Clinic.
