A healthcare facility in the United Kingdom is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage patient interactions and support the clinical team. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. This part-time position involves responsibilities like handling telephone calls, processing consultations, and ensuring high patient satisfaction. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Hours for this post: 20 hours per week.
Monday: 8am - 12pm
Tuesday: 8am - 12pm
Wednesday: 8am - 12pm
Thursday: 2.30 - 6.30pm
Friday: 2.30 - 6.30pm
These hours are subject to change at short notice, including the same day.
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients within our healthcare facility. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating care, and supporting the clinical team to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
The role will mean you are the first point of contact with patients and will be a representation of our practice therefore efficient customer service is essential. You will be required to handle an extremely large volume of calls and online electronic consultation requests and will need to remain calm under pressure whilst continuing to work to a high standard and level of accuracy. You must treat all patients with respect and have a good level of empathy and understanding always remaining polite and professional.
Duties will also include ensuring all incoming correspondence, actioned and processed in a timely manner. You will be required to provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
All staff are required to comply with practice safeguarding policies.
All staff are required to complete mandatory E-learning training.
