A leading company seeks an Events Manager to lead a team in executing engaging digital tech events. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Events Management, at least 3 years of leadership experience in the tech startup sector, and excellent project management skills. The role involves strategic planning, vendor collaboration, and engagement with senior stakeholders to foster the growth of the tech community. Candidates should be passionate about technology and flexible with working hours.
Working Location: Labrador Park
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8.30am to 6pm, Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm
Contract Duration: 2-years
Job Responsibilities:
· Lead and mentor a team of events, marketing and business development executives, supporting programme execution and ensuring high performance and professional growth
· Develop and implement strategies that align with the goals for nurturing digital tech scaleups including fostering a community of developers and keeping them engaged with on-going programmes, providing support, updates and a good user experience
· Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of both virtual and physical events
· Collaborate on content curation, vendors and internal stakeholders to create engaging and informative programmes
· Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, partners, and stakeholders
· Liaise and work with partner organisations for joint events, ensuring smooth coordination and alignment of objectives
· Support procurement activities for catering and event management services, including preparing approvals and overseeing vendor payments in line with Government procurement guidelines
· Analyse performance metrics and stakeholder feedback, as well as gather feedback and insights from target audiences to continuously improve the team's strategies, offerings and outcomes
· Cultivate a culture of meticulous data management and exemplary organisational practices within the team
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Events Management or other related disciplines.
· Proven leadership experience in event management or marketing within the tech or startup sector, with at least 3 years in a team lead role
· Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop and implement long-term engagement plans
· Excellent people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
· Deep understanding of the tech startup ecosystem, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives and diverse stakeholders
· Experience in managing budgets and resources with strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
· Passion for technology and innovation, with a commitment to supporting the growth of digital tech startups
· Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours to accommodate event schedules
