What skills and experience we're looking for

Governance Professional -Clerk to the Trustees

Contract type: Permanent - term time only

Hours: Equivalent to 5 hours per week

Scale: Grade 9 (23 - 26) (£33,366 - £36,124) pro rata.

Commences: September 2025

We are seeking to appoint a Governance Professional, Clerk to the Trustees. The successful candidate will have:

a professional governance qualification

excellent IT skills

meticulous attention to detail

the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hours: Governing body meetings are generally held on weekday evenings, on site at Langtree School. There are 6 full board meetings over the academic year. A flexible approach will be required for other meetings. Additional admin time will be allowed which can be worked from home.

Hours will be approximately 190 hours per year, over 38 weeks. Term time.

Salary: £4,001 - £4,187 (pay award pending)

Reporting to: Headteacher and Chair of Trustees
