Join Our Team as a Governance Professional!
Essex and West Suffolk Area
£14-£16 per hour - Flexible Zero Hour Contract

Are you passionate about supporting the education sector? We're looking for dedicated governance professionals to join our talented team. Whether you're an experienced professional or looking to make a career change or return to work, we want to hear from you!
What you will receive:

  • Full comprehensive training on all aspects of the role and ongoing support to ensure you can fulfil the role effectively.
  • Flexible work, mainly from home, with occasional in-person meetings at schools. Ideal for those seeking additional hours on top of a current role or part-time flexible work.
  • You will also benefit from regular training, briefings, and updates to enhance your professional growth, alongside a central administration team that provides continuous support.

Responsibilities:

  • Help prepare agendas for governing board meetings (with support from a central governance team).
  • Attend meetings in person or virtually and take accurate minutes.
  • Provide advice and guidance at governing board meetings (with support from a central governance team).
  • Ensure agendas and minutes are circulated within specified timescales.
  • Be the first point of contact for governors/ trustees in your allocated schools/ academies to support with queries.
  • Signpost governors / trustees to further advice and support where necessary.


Key Skills:

  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrates an understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements in the workplace.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Professional and polite when dealing with colleagues and customers.
