Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an experienced Governance Manager to lead governance across the Eastern Green Link portfolio, aligning with JV and Transmission Owner requirements. The role requires collaboration with SSEN, National Grid and JV partners to ensure a consistent governance approach across projects.

You will oversee the governance framework, update strategy, and provide SME input to project governance.

Qualifications

Proven experience designing and leading governance frameworks in large-scale infrastructure or major capital projects.
Ability to engage with director-level and C-suite stakeholders to drive governance.
Experience providing leadership and line management to teams supporting governance delivery.
Knowledge of PMO or project services functions is preferred.

Responsibilities

Own the governance framework across the portfolio and align with JV and TO requirements.
Input and update the portfolio governance and assurance strategy, and provide SME input to project governance strategies.
Identify items requiring Transmission Owner Board governance and track escalations.
Provide leadership to the Governance Analyst and support governance activities across the portfolio.
Support the development and implementation of the Delegation of Authority structure across the portfolio.
