Job summary

Dalkia Energy Services Ltd. seeks a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Manager and ensure Project QA requirements are met on the HPC project.

You will help maintain compliance with the QMS, coordinate audits, and promote high standards of safety and quality across the team. Responsibilities include delivering Nuclear Safety Culture training, embedding best practices, and collaborating with site personnel to drive continuous improvement and effective quality delivery at the Hinkley Point C

Qualifications

• Relevant discipline qualification; HND or degree required.
• Knowledge of UK and international nuclear standards.
• CCNSG or CSCS certification.
• Ability to obtain BPSS or higher security clearance.
• Internal Auditor or ISO9001:2015 lead/auditor qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager in ensuring QA requirements are understood and implemented.
• Help manage the Project Quality Management System (QMS) per policy and contract.
• Deliver Nuclear Safety Culture training for Dalkia personnel.
• Embed Nuclear Safety Culture across the project team.
• Produce audit reports, identify trends and drive improvements.
• Follow up on audit actions and report outcomes to management.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and facilitate lessons learned.

Role Characteristics:

Hinkley Point C is the UK's first new build nuclear power station in a generation that is critical to the UK NetZero targets.

Accountabilities:

As Quality Engineer You will support the Quality Manager in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met.

Key Deliverables:

• Assist in managing the Quality Management System (QMS) of the project according to the project policy, contract requirements and Dalkia PDS
• Support and deliver Nuclear Safety Culture training for Dalkia Personnel
• Support Embedment of Nuclear Safety Culture
• Represent Dalkia in HPC Nuclear Safety Culture Community of Best Practice
• Ensure the communication, training and implementation of the QMS within the project team.
• Monitor and measure the efficiency of the QMS and ensure improvement of the QMS throughout the project life
• Produce a comprehensive audit report on findings from each audit highlighting trends and recommending improvements
• Follow up on outstanding audit actions for implementation and closure
• Report outcome of Audit to Team Managers, and Senior Managers
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and solutions in collaborative way
• Facilitate lessons learned and improvement activities including delivery of specific quality related training
• Assisting and supporting the Quality Team to achieve individual and team objectives and defined performance indicators

Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:

• Qualifications in relevant discipline, HND/Degree (or equivalent experience for role).
• Knowledge of working to UK and international standards and codes of practice for the UK Nuclear sector.
• CCNSG or CSCS
• Can achieve security clearance (BPSS or higher).
• Internal Auditor or Assessor Qualification (ISO9001:2015 standard)

• Proven track record in large scale projects in the nuclear or similar regulated sector, including major EPC projects.
