The David Ross Education Trust is seeking to appoint a Governance Clerk to deliver high-quality clerking services to Greenfields Primary School and Nursery, Kettering.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our governance team and work flexibly around a calendar of scheduled meetings. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently, and organise their own time whilst working to strict deadlines. The role includes providing advice to governors on constitutional and procedural matters and offering effective administrative support under the guidance of our Director of Governance.
About the role
This role offers unique insights into how schools are run at a strategic level and how governance drives school improvement. You will play a vital role in supporting strong governance that can positively impact the life chances of children in our community and beyond, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds or facing barriers.
Meetings typically occur up to 5 times per year at 5:30 pm. The Clerk may also support exclusion and complaints panels as needed.
