Job description

Service care solutions are currently working alongside a developing combined authority, based in North Yorkshire, which is seeking a Governance and Regulatory Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to progress in your career and gain experience.

This role pays a competitive rate of £40-£45 an hour umbrella depending on experience.

Responsibilities as a Governance and Regulatory Solicitor:

• Working on the review of the Combined Authority's constitution.
• Developing a scheme of delegation with colleagues in the Finance Department.
• Supporting the Independent Remuneration Panel with their review of remuneration of certain roles.
• Working with colleagues in the Finance Department around the Annual Governance Statement and ensuring continuous monitoring against any actions.

About you as a Governance and Regulatory Solicitor:

• Public sector/local authority experience
• Experience in governance, including experience in reviewing constitutions and developing schemes of delegation
