Job description

VANRATH is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Governance and Compliance Officer to join our client's team. This role is essential in ensuring that the organisation adheres to all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance standards, while also promoting a culture of ethical business conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Governance & Risk Management: Develop and implement policies that align with company values and regulatory requirements. Monitor internal controls and processes to ensure compliance. Track compliance issues and risks through effective reporting systems.
  2. Compliance Monitoring: Oversee adherence to regulatory requirements, lead internal audits, and provide advice on legal and regulatory changes. Maintain a comprehensive compliance manual and documents.
  3. Training & Awareness: Deliver compliance and cybersecurity training programs, including user onboarding and targeted sessions for different teams. Foster a culture of compliance through phishing campaigns and other engagement activities.
  4. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities, and maintain records of compliance activities, audits, and risk assessments.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 3+ years in governance, compliance, risk management, or related fields.
  2. Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to identifying compliance risks.

Desirable

  1. Cyber/IT Focus: Experience in developing cybersecurity policies and delivering training on IT and cyber trends, particularly for users who may be targeted by cyber threats.

This role is based in Lisburn, hybrid working (4 days a week in office).
