Job summary

The BoTree is seeking a Goods Receiver to join the Back of House team in London. The role focuses on efficient receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of goods across the hotel, ensuring stock accuracy and service standards.

You will work with suppliers and internal departments to maintain product quality and support smooth hotel operations, upholding food safety and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in goods receiving, stores and stock control.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of stock rotation, food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Experience using purchasing or inventory systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all deliveries, ensuring goods match purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Check quality, quantity and condition of products, reporting discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure deliveries are recorded and processed in hotel procedures.
• Maintain organised, clean and safe receiving and storage areas in line with food safety and health & safety standards.
• Rotate stock using FIFO principles and ensure proper storage.
• Distribute goods to appropriate hotel departments efficiently.
• Liaise with Back of House Manager to resolve delivery queries and discrepancies.
• Support stock control processes, inventory checks and stocktakes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food hygiene, HACCP and sustainability initiatives.

We are looking for a Goods Receiver to join our Back of House Team. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of goods across the hotel. Working closely with suppliers and operational departments, you will help maintain stock accuracy, product quality and service standards that support the smooth running of the hotel.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Receive and inspect all deliveries, ensuring goods match purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Check the quality, quantity and condition of all products, reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods promptly.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurately recorded and processed in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Maintain organised, clean and safe receiving and storage areas in line with food safety and health & safety standards.
• Rotate stock using FIFO principles and ensure products are stored correctly.
• Distribute goods efficiently to the appropriate departments across the hotel.
• Liaise with Back of House Manager and internal departments to resolve delivery queries and discrepancies.
• Support stock control processes, inventory checks and monthly stocktakes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food hygiene, HACCP and sustainability initiatives.

About You

You will have experience within a stores or goods receiving environment, ideally within hospitality or a luxury hotel. You will understand the importance of accuracy, organisation and teamwork in supporting the hotel's daily operation.

You bring a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards while delivering an efficient and professional service.

We're looking for someone with:
