Job summary

Gill Cooke Personnel Ltd T/A The Recruitment Group is looking to recruit a Goods Inwards Stores and Production Coordinator in Witney on a temporary basis. The role supports both Stores and Production, ensuring goods are received, stored and picked to meet the weekly production plan.

Key duties include receiving, stock control, FIFO storage, picking parts for Production, despatching subcontracting items and moving goods between Witney sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience of stock control procedures.
• Experience of picking and packing.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Ability to follow instructions and deadlines.
• Teamworking under pressure.
• Physical fitness for manual handling up to 25 kg.
• Counterbalance/Reach forklift licence desirable.
• UK driving licence advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and booking in goods.
• Safely loading/unloading deliveries.
• Storing stock using FIFO methods.
• Matching cast numbers to works orders.
• Picking and distributing parts to Production.
• Despatching subcontracting goods and documents.
• Preparing pallets for despatch and loading transport.
• Moving goods between Witney sites.
• Regular stock checks and stock query support.
• Assisting Stock Control and Quality with bonded stock.
• Maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
• Carrying out driving, deliveries and collections as required.
• Operating a forklift or pedestrian stacker if qualified.
• Supporting Production with washing procedures.

Job description

We are currently sourcing a Goods Inwards Stores and Production Coordinator for a leading manufacturing company in Witney. This is a temporary position supporting both the Stores and Production teams, ensuring goods are received, stored and picked accurately to meet the weekly production plan.

Responsibilities as a Goods Inwards Stores and Production Coordinator

• Receiving and booking in goods delivered to site
• Safely loading and unloading deliveries
• Locating and storing stock using FIFO procedures
• Identifying cast numbers against works orders and organising stock into clearly labelled batches
• Picking and distributing parts accurately to Production in line with the weekly production plan
• Organising and despatching subcontracting goods and associated documentation
• Preparing pallets for final despatch and loading transport
• Transporting goods between the company's Witney sites
• Carrying out regular stock checks and assisting with stock control queries
• Supporting the Stock Control and Quality teams with bonded stock
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Carrying out driving, delivery and collection duties as required
• Operating a forklift truck or pedestrian stacker where appropriately qualified
• Supporting Production with the washing procedure

Skills required as a Goods Inwards Stores and Production Coordinator

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
• Experience of stock control procedures
• Experience of picking and packing
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Health and Safety awareness
• Ability to follow instructions and work accurately to deadlines
• Ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling, including lifting up to 25kg
• Pedestrian Stacker licence
• Good general IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook, would be advantageous
• Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system would be desirable
• Valid UK driving licence would be advantageous
• Counterbalance and/or Reach forklift licence would be desirable

The details

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Early finish on Fridays)
• 37.5 hours per week
• £14 / hour (depending on experience)
• Temporary position
• Witney location
