Job summary

Balltec Ltd. designs, manufactures and tests high integrity mechanical connectors for energy sector applications. The Goods-in role supports movement, loading, unloading and stock control in a busy workshop environment.

You will work closely with the Goods-in Lead to ensure safe handling of goods, accurate stock records and timely deliveries to customers. A full UK driving licence and forklift competency are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Qualified and competent to operate forklift trucks.
• Commitment to safe working practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good numeracy and accuracy in checking quantities and stock.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work independently with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Move goods and materials with the Goods-in Lead and operations teams.
• Deliver goods to customers and collect from suppliers as needed.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report faults or maintenance needs.
• Adhere to UK driving legislation and company requirements.
• Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Receive, check and move goods within workshop and storage areas.
• Assist with stock takes and maintain stock records.
• Operate forklift trucks safely and competently.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Store goods and equipment safely.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in workshop and goods areas.
• Perform other duties as requested by Goods-in Lead or management.
