Job description

New Vacancy - Goods in Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver - Telford, Shropshire

Due to an internal resignation, a Goods in Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver is needed for a manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire.

A Full UK Driving License is essential for this role.

This will be working a day shift pattern Monday to Friday (45 hours per week), and the role comes with an hourly rate of A£13.00 per hour (annual salary of just over A£30,000 per annum).

The hiring manager is looking for someone that has previous Stores/Stock Controlling experience, is familiar with booking stock in and out on a computer system, and preferably someone that holds a Counterbalance forklift license that can drive the truck on occasions.

What You Will Do:

1. Operate a Counterbalance forklift truck daily, ensuring safety and efficiency.
2. Assist in the yard, providing exceptional service when dealing with customers.
3. Conduct yard and factory maintenance, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
4. Monitor production requirements closely and ensure they are met effectively.
5. Manage stock efficiently, booking it in on the ERP system and participating in stock takes.
6. Pack spare parts and equipment for shipping, adhering to all Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, and PPE policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring:

1. Proven experience in a similar Stores/Stock Controlling role.
2. Familiarity with an ERP or Warehouse based computer system.
3. A current Counterbalance forklift license is preferred, with the ability to operate the truck as needed.
4. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
5. Excellent team-working skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
