Job summary

Triton Recruitment are currently looking for a Goods In Operative in Tockwith. This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or goods in experience who is looking for a long-term role.

The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience, be reliable and punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided, and forklift licence is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries.
• Unloading deliveries safely and recording stock.
• Checking goods for damage and reporting issues.
• Recording deliveries accurately using warehouse systems/scanners.
• Ensuring goods are correctly labelled and stored.
• Stock rotation and following FIFO procedures.
• Maintaining accurate stock records.
• Supporting stock checks and inventory counts.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Liaising with suppliers and other departments regarding deliveries.
• Following all company health & safety procedures.
• Other general warehouse duties as required.

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 4.30pm
• Friday: 8.00am - 1.00pm

Duties include:

• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
• Unloading deliveries safely
• Checking goods for damage and reporting any issues
• Recording deliveries accurately using warehouse systems/scanners
• Ensuring goods are correctly labelled and stored
• Stock rotation and following FIFO procedures
• Maintaining accurate stock records
• Supporting stock checks and inventory counts
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety
• Liaising with suppliers and other departments regarding deliveries
• Following all company health & safety procedures
• Other general warehouse duties as required

The ideal candidate:

• Previous warehouse or Goods In experience is preferred
• Experience within food/FMCG would be advantageous
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and punctual
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with manual handling and working on your feet
• Experience using warehouse systems or scanners is advantageous
• Forklift licence would be beneficial but is not essential, as training can be provided following the probationary period

Additional information:

• Overtime may be available during busy periods
• PPE will be provided
• Full training will be provided where required
