Job description

Job title: Goods In, Despatch & Stock Control Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Goods In, Despatch & Stock Control Assistant to join our client's logistics department in Colnbrook. The client is a renowned creative brand experience agency known for delivering impactful campaigns for global brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the receipt and despatch of goods.
  2. Check and inspect goods received to ensure accuracy and quality.
  3. Sign for goods received into the warehouse.
  4. Update the stock system and maintain accurate inventories.
  5. Load and unload goods from vehicles.
  6. Assist in inventorying and reporting returned equipment.
  7. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Other Requirements:

  1. Deliver and collect goods as needed.
  2. Conduct quality control of goods in and out of the warehouse.
  3. Support other sites and locations when required.
  4. Assist the Field Support team, which may involve off-site work.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Understanding of stock management and inventory control methods.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable:

  • Forklift Licence (Counter Balance/Reach Truck).
  • NVQ in warehousing and storage.
